Aluminum is resistant to corrosion, and ALC generally supplies its
columns in their natural, attractive metal finish (without additional coating).
This means that there is never a need to paint the column, and
that
structural surveys are not required during it’s designed for life (unlike
competing products
where structural integrity requires regular
assessment). We also supply
a hinged 'Echalon' raise and lower
column which can be easily lowered
for quick, safe lantern maintenance.
